Girls’ Day in Science at Terma
Terma was one of 20 Danish companies participating in “Girls’ Day in Science” on 30 August 2017.
It is an annual campaign day to inspire more girls to select a science/technical education. On Wednesday, 30 August, Terma/Lystrup hosted 30 girls from the local Egaa Gymnasium.
Nationwide, 20 companies, seven science centers, and three educational institutions opened the doors to about 1,400 girls from primary and high schools. They were invited to work with practical and business-related tasks and to meet female employees who talked about their choice of and career opportunities with a science/technical education. The campaign took place for the fifth time.
In Terma, five experienced female employees in different technical positions and with widely different scientific backgrounds guided the 30 young visitors through an exciting day with workshops, experiments, and a tour of the facility.
