It’s great to own the future

Arrival of the first Danish F-35

Hip hip hurraaaaooouuuuuwmm!

Denmark’s first F-35 is about to land in its new home and initiate a change of guard. The world’s most advanced fighter aircraft grants a multitude of new opportunities, also for generations to come.

At Terma, we’re especially proud. We have been part of the F-35 program since 2004, and 700 employees work diligently on the program each day. As global F-35 partner, we produce more than 80 advanced components for F-35 fighters all over the world.

This truly is a historic event!

Terma provides more than 80 parts to the F-35

The F-35 is truly a fighter jet built for the future - Designed to become better, more intelligent and more powerful with every mission, every update, and every technological development.

world-class Composite center

In a world where the need for affordability, and reduced weight dominates, the development of strong but light-weight materials has become increasingly important. Composite structures are an example of a modern technology that allows commercial aircraft to reduce weight and improve range, while at the same time saving fuel. Stronger and lighter composite structures for fighter aircraft allow for increased performance while at the same time increasing the payload.

Located in Denmark, our Composite Center is built around a fully integrated composite manufacturing facility, where 3D composite data, such as Fibresim, is nested and transferred digitally to the cutting machine, allowing individually labeled and controlled ply kits to be made. The 3D data is also used to perform draping analysis on the parts, and ply projection files are sent to the Virtek laser projectors, which are used by Terma to ensure the composite parts are consistently manufactured to high accuracy, while maintaining a cost-effective approach.

Our world-class Composite Center and our highly skilled workforce keep us at the forefront of composite manufacturing. We head up an aggressive continuous development strategy to set new standards for composite manufacturing technology.

Multi-Mission Pod

Terma’s Multi-Mission Pod (MMP) is based on our F-35 Gun Pod, the only certified design for an external F-35 pod. The MMP can be tailored to provide capabilities including additional Jammers, Modular Power Pod, Synthetic Aperture Radar, Directed Energy Capability, or any other hardware capability, you might need. Our MMP can be tailored to house any equipment you need to fulfill your mission’s objectives, making it a unique solution for air forces engaging in a variety of conflicts.
