Terma Secures New Contract with NASA Langley Research Center

Terma is excited to announce a new contract with NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. This collaboration will see the integration of Terma’s advanced STAMP product into NASA’s environmental test chambers.

NASA Langley Research Center has selected Terma to enhance the data management and operational capabilities of its environmental test chambers. These chambers simulate the vacuum of space, allowing for rigorous testing of space-bound equipment.

NASA's current system, which relies on their own software, will be replaced by Terma's STAMP application. STAMP will consolidate test data, provide robust data storage and display, and control pressure and heating within the test chambers. This upgrade promises to streamline NASA's testing processes and reduce maintenance efforts.

STAMP offers extensive capabilities in data acquisition, supporting simultaneous collection from tens of thousands of channels including temperatures, voltages, currents, flow rates, pressures, valve states, and switch states. This enables seamless integration across diverse data sources. Beyond data acquisition, STAMP excels in heater control, allowing management of multiple heaters and power supplies with modes like fixed setpoints, thermostatic modes, and sensor-derived setpoints. It also provides comprehensive presentation features such as powerful graphing, table-based displays, alarm generation, and both 2D and 3D synoptics. Users can manipulate and present data in real-time or historical formats and benefit from secure remote monitoring with customizable access permissions for effective system oversight.

Terma will supply the STAMP product along with custom development to ensure compatibility with NASA's specific test equipment. This integration will provide NASA with a reliable, user-friendly solution that minimizes downtime and enhances efficiency.

The transition to STAMP is beneficial for NASA as it eliminates the need for maintaining in-house software. This allows NASA to focus on its core mission activities while benefiting from a robust, low-maintenance system that ensures consistent and accurate test results.

Terma is proud to showcase our commitment to advancing technology in data acquisition and thermal management. Our solutions empower industries to achieve optimal operational efficiency and reliability through innovative thermal control and comprehensive data management capabilities. By integrating STAMP into their operations, businesses gain a competitive edge with enhanced performance, sustainability, and system reliability. Terma remains dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of our global clientele, ensuring continued excellence in thermal management and beyond.
