Terma at Farnborough International Airshow

Aarhus, Denmark – At this year’s Farnborough International Airshow 2016, Terma displays the 3D-Audio and Active Noise Reduction solution along with the pylon-based Missile Warning System, the ALQ-213 EW Management System, the Universal DIRCM Pod, and advanced composite structures for aircraft.

On 11-17 July, Terma is back at Farnborough International Airshow – meet us at stand no. A110, Hall 2.

On display is the Terma developed pylon-based Missile Warning System. Mounting of the Missile Warning sensors in the weapons pylons offer important advantages. Installation is done on pylons rather than on the aircraft structure, which reduces aircraft downtime for modification considerably, fewer systems are needed because pylons can be rotated within the fleet, and finally, the enhanced protection is provided without loss of weapon stations.

For more than 25 years, the renowned ALQ-213 Electronic Warfare Management System has constituted the heart of almost all Terma EW solutions and has been sold to customers across the globe. The system is fielded on +2,500 aircraft across the globe and across fighter, rotary-wing, and wide-body platforms. Leading F-16 countries operate the system across their fleets of aircraft. The European Participating Air Forces (EPAF) has been driving the continuous development of the capabilities in the system which today include Embedded Training and Electronic Combat Adaptive Processing.

We welcome you at our stand for a demonstration of the 3D-Audio and Active Noise Reduction solutions for air crews, which provide significant situational awareness and speech intelligibility enhancement through a more natural and intuitive auditory interface.

Also on display will be Terma’s Universal Directed Infra-Red Counter Measure (DIRCM) Pod. The pod structure houses the complete directed IR countermeasure suite, including laser turret, electronics, and Missile Warning System sensors in a lightweight and rigid structure.
