Aarhus, Denmark – On Wednesday, 31 May, the celebration of Eastern Jutland's most talented apprentices who completed their apprenticeship in 2016 took place in Aarhus. Terma was represented by 4 apprentices, who were honored for their impressive apprenticeship.

Every year, the Medal Fund for the Confederation of Danish Industry and Craftsmanship in East Jutland awards medals to the best apprentices in Eastern Jutland. The medals are awarded to newly qualified apprentices who have completed vocational training and who have achieved the grade 10 or 12 in the final exam and have been recommended by their company.

Terma has a long tradition of training talented apprentices, and among the 24 medal recipients from Eastern Jutland, Terma was represented by 4 apprentices, who were honored for their impressive apprenticeship in 2016:

Kasper Hornbek completed his apprenticeship as an electronics engineer in February 2016 with the grade 12 in his final project.

Kristoffer Broch Møller completed his apprenticeship as data technician specializing in programming in July 2016, and he was also awarded the grade 12 in his final project. He also received the ML Award (the Metal Industry Apprenticeship Award) last year.

Simon Bentzon Nielsen completed his education as a plastics specialist in August 2016 and achieved the grade 10 in his final project. In 2008, Simon was trained as a plastics engineer in Terma/Grenaa and completed the one-year training program as a plastics specialist last year.

Søren Møller Rasmussen also completed his education as a plastics specialist in August 2016 and achieved the grade 12. Søren was also trained as a plastics engineer in Terma/Grenaa in 2014, and he now receives the award for his one-year training program as a plastics specialist.

According to tradition, the celebration took place at the Aarhus City Hall. Again this year, HRH Prince Joachim awarded the medals. In addition, 1st deputy Mayor of Aarhus Anne Nygaard gave a speech, and Lars Larsen (Jysk) was appointed as this year's craftsman of honor.

Congratulations on the well-deserved honors to all four former apprentices who have all been permanently employed in Terma after completion of their apprenticeship.
