New Team of Students Join the Terma-Lockheed Martin Internship Program.

Early January 2019, Terma will for the fifth year in a row send a group of 11 Danish students of engineering on an exciting and educational five-month internship at Lockheed Martin’s aircraft factories in Ft. Worth, Texas and Marietta, Georgia.

The 11 students are studying at Aarhus University and the Technical University of Denmark, and for the first time, two students from Aalborg University will also be part of the team.

"It is extremely exciting to be allowed to work with the most advanced aircraft technology. At the same time, I feel like I’m part of writing history when I'm now going to build the fighter aircraft that will be part of the Danish Air Force for many years to come,"

Alexander Kamp Nielsen

Student of engineering, Autonomous Systems at Aalborg University

He has a dream of continuing his career within large-scale production equipment, e.g. within the aircraft industry or the automotive industry, and it will only be a plus to include Lockheed Martin on his resume.

The Lockheed Martin Intership program was established in the fall of 2014 between Aarhus University, Lockheed Martin, and Terma. It was inspired by the Netherlands, where the renowned Technische Universiteit Delft for many years had successfully offered five-month internships in the U.S.

"We are pleased to be able to continue this attractive internship program. We need competent engineers in the future," says Jørn Henrik Levy Rasmussen, Senior Vice President, Market Development in Terma.

So far, 21 Danish students of engineering have participated in an internship at Lockheed Martin.
