Terma at ILA Berlin 2018
Stop by our stand at ILA Berlin to learn much more and to take a seat in our virtual cockpit.
Aarhus, Denmark – As new member of the Federation of German Security and Defence Industries (BDSV), Denmark-based Defense and Aerospace company Terma attends this year’s trade show for innovations in aviation and space flight in Berlin.
“We are excited to be back at ILA and benefit from our company’s decade long presence in Germany meeting partners and customers. Terma has a long history within space applications through our Darmstadt-based Terma GmbH with 80 employees as supplier and partner to ESOC and EUMETSAT,” explains Morten Lygre Overgaard, Director, Market Development Europe.
“Within airborne self-protection solutions, Terma has supplied electronic warfare equipment to the German Air Force aircraft including C-160 Transall and Tornado GR4. Terma is also a well-known supplier of Surface Movement Radar solutions to a wide range of major German airports.”
Early 2018, Terma experienced a breakthrough when receiving the first orders for the German market of windfarm Obstruction Light Control (OLC) radar solutions. Terma obtained approval from the German Aviation Authorities represented by DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH. The system keeps the Obstruction Lights switched off when the airspace around a windfarm is empty of aircraft, reducing light pollution.
